Malkoo is a popular singer in Punjab, Pakistan. He was born Mohammad Ashraf Malik in Sargodha, Pakistan. He has performed in numerous countries [1]. In addition to performing, he writes lyrics, and has penned many hit songs for other singers. Waris Baig's album Aa Ja Nach Lay was written and composed by Malkoo.[citation needed]
He is best known for re-popularizing the song "Kala Jora Pa", which became a hit in Pakistan and has since been performed by many other artists.[citation needed]

Malkoo was born on June 4. He attended Malikwal Government High School. Currently he lives in Lahore.
